We started the year off with a first haircut for the bald man.

and then as usual we celebrated Hailey's birthday, she turned 5 and I can't believe in less than a week she will be 6.
O was super excited about Hailey's birthday balloons. Every year on their birthday they wake up to a room full of them Its my favorite tradition.

He was super into bey blades for half of the year....I havent seen them since.

March
Every year, March is when I feel the new beginning. The spring arrives with warmer weather, the plants and trees slowly start coming back to life.
And my daughter looks at me like I'm an idiot.
The kids love going to my mom and dads house to swing on Papas swing in the tree.
Owen was fascinated to see one of these where we walk...
I love that my kids can play at the same playground I grew up at.
March was my first attempt at the Incline in manitou springs. its a one mile hike that takes you up 2000 vertical feet. Roughly 4000 steps to the stop it is a BITCH. Once you make it to the top though you join the Colorado Springs badass club. I ended up doing the incline 7 full times. last year.
At the end of the month we have a birthday! Hunter turned 9 years old. We had an Angry Birds party!
We had a lot of fun building this thing, but the wind was a pain that day and kept knocking it over. The kids really loved it though.
Hunter had a blast at his birthday party!

Owen had a fun march too.
From time to time I ask Hailey about Sheemee, her imaginary friend. He was still pretty big back in March, but I havent heard from him in a few months. I had her draw him for me so we could remember him forever.

April
In April something awesome happened, my photography business was booked for the entire month. I was ecstatic! Dreams coming true people. However, now looking back these are the only photos I can find of my own kids in April. Its always hard to find the balance with that.
little chuck, holding on to my leg. Side story- When Owen was 7 months old and bald as could be, we called him Charlie brown, which was shortened to Chuck, and ever since we have called Owen "Chuck" or "chuckie" people who know Owen look at us really weird when we do that.

Since April was so lacking in photos, here comes May! May is one of my favorite months....the kids get out of school and its really fun for those first couple of weeks, ha! You parents know what I mean right?

Hunter went to camp for the first time, he was gone for 5 days and he had a blast.

Owen the little Chuckie turned 2
At 2, he was obsessed with Toy Story, He loved Buzz and we watched it a lot.
We were on our way to Disneyland to celebrate Owen turning 2, and we stopped by Nanas in AZ!
Owen was a lucky little dude, and got to celebrate his birthday in Disneyland, we had such a fun day!
Hunter battled the Sith Lord
We absolutely LOVED Cars land, I think about going back practically every day, ha!

July was lots of fun
But also very sad, the smoke was hovering all over us and the Waldo canyon unleashed its fury on a big neighborhood in the springs.

Hunter tried to sell Hailey, I offered him a billion dollars in monopoly money and he sold her to me.
Summer was coming to an end, and Hailey and I found this really cool photo spot
Hunter started 4th grade at a new school. Let me just say his new school is the best thing EVER. I am so happy we switched him.
It was his first year riding the bus to school!
Owen wanted to learn a bit about photography
and I did my second Color run for the year, highly recommend!

In September the fall comes to Colorado, long sleeves and pants, boots and sweaters, and many many photo shoots.
and Owen was mad about Power Converters.
I got a remote for my camera and started trying to exist!
Hunter took this one, and I love it.
Also with fall comes the most beautiful colors, all over.
We also went apple picking and fed these horses way too many apples
October
In October Russ and I got to go to Buffalo, NY. I was shooting a wedding there. We were so lucky to go in October when all the leaves were in their peak. We also got to go to Niagara!

Hunter got straight A's, so I got him a surprise Guinea Pig.

then Hailey turned into a waffle head.

November
I only remember one day in November that was cold, which was really strange for Colorado. However we enjoyed the heck out of it!

In December, we finally got a sort of decent snow storm. I am still waiting for the big one that lets us go sledding!
and now...its December 31st, we are about to head out to a New Years party! To all my friends and Family, I wish you a wonderful year and may all your dreams and goals come true!
