A day in the life of Princess Sofia

Today I had the honor of following Princess Sophia  around in her everyday life. Princesses! They're just like us, the drink Starbucks, check out library books, and shop at Costco.  Capturing children as they are is my favorite thing in the world, they really grow up so fast and its so important to remember them as little. Super Heroes

Were preparing for Owens third birthday party. He loves Buzz Lightyear and Ironman with an equal intensity, so we thought we'd have a Super Hero Party! Its going to be fun, yesterday we practiced.

Where in the world is Sheemee?

Remember Sheemee? Haileys imaginary friend? He still comes around all the time. Hes a busy guy lately! I was wondering what hes been up to so I asked Hailey a few questions about him.

 How old is sheemee now?

He is 4

where has he been?

In china!

What is he doing in China?

He has been meeting new people.

Like who?

His best friends, they live in China. Sheemee doesn't tell me what he does there, maybe they eat pie all day.

What does sheemee look like now?

Still has a black shirt and blue pants and curly hair.

How does sheemee get from China to Colorado?

He takes a tiny airplane, its free. It takes like 5 whole minutes for him to get here.

Where is sheemees mom now?

At his house, his house is in the garage in that dresser, the 3rd drawer from the top. Thats where they sleep.

What is your favorite thing to do with Sheemee now?

Play puzzles and eat chicken nuggets. We go in the basement and play, but sometimes he wont go down there with me so I wont go either.

Does Sheemee go to school?

Yes he goes at 530 in the morning. Its really early, hes always on time so he doesnt miss recess.

How long will Sheemee live with us?

FOREVER!

When Hailey was a baby(okay and still) she always went into the kennel, so when I came around the corner and found this guy in here I had to snap some pictures.

He was having so much fun.

Sheemee

Here is an interview with Hailey about Sheemee. Sheemee is Haileys imaginary friend.... I asked the questions and Hailey answered, so I typed word for word what she said.

1. Where does Sheemee live?

Uhhh, In colorado at our new house, the other house. Its far away, he comes on the airplane and he brought his car....The airplane drived it.


2. What is Sheemees mom like?


Uhhh....His mommy likes pictures. Uhhh.....she looks for her greys anatomy book and reads it to Sheemee at bedtime. It has pages. Greys Anatomy on the bad Greys Anatomy the bad man shoots them and the greys Anatomy good guys fixes the shots with the tape.


Sheeemees mom also likes lights.


3. What does sheemees car look like?


Its orange and it can talk.


4. Does sheemee come with us in our car or his?


He drives his car, when he comes here he rides the airplane and when he goes home with his mom he goes in the car.


5. What does sheemee look like?


He has a black nose like Jack the reindeer.... he has black hair and its curly. Hes a little tall like me (points to her hip)


6. How old is sheemee?


Sheemee is 3 1/2.


7.Whens his birthday?


His birthdays on Saturday! When he grows up he wants to be a teenager.


8. Does sheemee have pets?


yes his dogs name is Khaki and his cats name is Maddie.


9. Does Sheemee have brothers or sisters?
He only has two brothers, no sister


10. Whats your favorite thing to do with Sheemee?

Ah, the adventures of Hailey and Sheemee.

Its just my imagination.....

Hailey is a VERY imaginative child. She is rarely just Hailey, usually she is a Mom, a princess, a ninja and always has her friend "Shee-me" at her side.

From what I can tell Shee-mee is a nice kid, he has manners and plays well with Hailey. He also never whines or complains and seems to generally be a very happy boy.

He comes everywhere with us, and every now and then we forget him...he always seems to find us though. Right now Shee-mee is at the doctor because he is sick. Get well soon Shee-mee!

Today I was informed that Hailey's Granddaughter named Sally is here and Hailey's assistant Brobee is protecting them from bad guys. Now Brobee is the only one I can see, it is the dancing Brobee toy from the Nickelodeon show Yo Gabba Gabba. Brobee has become one of Haileys best friends and she holds his hand and walks him all over the house.

In the car Hailey will talk up a storm and tell you about the dreams she has.... even in her sleep this little girl is in a world of amazing! Most the dreams she tells us about contain Unicorns, dragons, princesses, castles and battling the evil witch. She will go on for 15 minutes describing every detail of what happened in her dream. This is ALWAYS in the car which is a huge bummer because I want to write it all down! I need to buy a recorder.

Hunter is also quite the imaginer, though he doesnt share with me exactly whats going on, I just witness it. The past few days he will go into the backyard and just RUN as fast as he can in circles. Every few laps he will do a kung fu kick or punch to the air then keep on running.

This afternoon I found him in the backyard with a wine bottle opener and a meat tenderizer, when I asked what he was doing he said they were his weapons to fight the bad guys in the backyard. I told him those were dangerous and offered him a plastic spatula...he looked at me like i was an idiot and said "THAT is NOT a weapon mom." My bad.

I love my kids, they are so entertaining. I just wish we could keep those imaginations forever!
