Back to School

The kids went back to school, THREE weeks ago...I know, crazy! Hailey went off to First grade and Hunter is off for his last year of elementary school.

Hailey LOVES school, she carries her backback around on weekends, she studies all the time and is keeping a journal. She is sad on Saturday mornings. I don't know where she gets it.

Hunter likes school about as much as any other 5th grader...is it Saturday yet? We had a scare with the system already but it seems theyre ready to handle his IEP and help him function socially, so that will be great. He is such a bright kid, and how is it his last year of elementary school?!

What a difference a year makes...

The years go by so fast, especially the school years. Hailey started Kindergarten this year and finished with flying colors. She is readin at a 3rd grade level, coloring like picasso, and counting her change. 

I love listening to her read, and teach her dolls in her "classroom" I will never forget all the days she came home proclaiming "I can't learn anything else today, my brain is FULL!"

I asked her today "Now that you've graduated what are you going to do?" she said "Buy some pink sparkly TOMS"

Love my little girl. Watch out First grade!

A place called Kindergarten

My little girl became a Kindergartener today. 

She is now a bus rider.

A lunchroom diner,

One of 22 kids.

A fish in the great big pond.

She was a little nervous to start her big day, She was afraid she would miss me.

I miss you too Hailey! I miss your funny stories.

I miss you begging me for food every 2.5 seconds.

I miss you making Owen laugh.

Baby Rapunzel misses you too.

But we know you are on to great things.

You are going to do awesome in school.

 I cant wait to hear all about your big day.

 Watch out class of 2025!!!!

Third Grade!

So I am officially a slacker! Hunter has been in school for about a month now and here I am blogging about it! Better late than never right?

He is for the most part enjoying 3rd grade, but says he misses 2nd grade.

3rd comes with a LOT of homework and he hates that.

His favorite books are Pokemon and The Adventures of Captain Underpants.

His favorite subject is once again LUNCH, such a boy!

His best friend in class is Garrett.

He really enjoys science, he admitted after saying his favorite subject is lunch.

 and he is looking forward to a trip to the science museum this week!

Were really proud of you Hunter and know we will make it through this year of homework madness!

Hailey goes to Pre School

Last year my little girl went off to what we called pre pre school. You can see that HERE. This year she went to the real thing! She is so excited to be at the same school as Hunter. I heard that Hunter likes to peek in on the classroom and make sure his little sister is having a good day, so sweet! She loves her teacher Mrs. D and is very excited to go to school every day!

I asked her a few questions about going to pre school...

Playing with the toys, playing outside and inside.

There you have it, one year from now Ill be writing about Kindergarten! Better stock up on kleenex.

Hunter you're turning EIGHT on Thursday, I cannot believe my eyes. I love you so much kiddo! Were so proud of you!
