Six Weeks

Baby Owen you are already six weeks old!

Didn't you get the memo about not growing up so fast?

You gave me your first smile at 5 weeks exactly.

but during the day you enjoy some snuggling.

I discovered you like to sleep in the boppy, maybe you think were holding you?

Im sure were creating a monster with your sleep habits.

You also love to be swaddled.

You havent worn a disposable diaper in over 3 weeks!

I know you enjoy the diapers because you look so happy when we put them on you.

At your 6 week appointment you weighed 11lbs 8oz and were 22 inches long!

Thats how you got the nickname growin Owen.

You like to eat every 2 hours still, so its no wonder you're such a chub.
You also moved from 0-3 months clothes, into 3-6month....I wasnt ready for that.

My favorite part of babyhood has arrived the "ooo's" and the "coo's" 

Oh how they melt our hearts!

They make your brother and sister giggle when you let out a big one.

We all love you so much, and even though its only been 6 weeks...

It feels like you've been here forever.

iPood

A few months ago when my eggo was still preggo....Russ went on a work trip to Monterey, CA.

In keeping with being a good daddy he hit up a gift shop and bought some souvenirs for the kids.  He found unborn Owen a onesie that said "iPood" on it.

When he came home I looked at the shirt and it said 6m, so into the 6 month clothes pile it went!

Russ started questioning the location of this shirt when Owen was about a week old, I explained to him it was in the 3-6 month clothes pile and he let it go....a few weeks later he asked again and again i told him where it was. These men forget everything!

So a few days ago he asks one more time, so I pull it out and show it to him...I held it up expecting him to be shocked at how much bigger than the baby it is, BUT what? It was crazy small to be 6m! Russ then got upset at me and said he should've worn it a long time ago. I promised to put it in the cycle of current clothing.

SO today Russ changed Owens diaper and requested the famous onesie...I handed it to him and we discovered IT DID NOT FIT! crap!

It was really wide and super short, it wouldn't button over his diaper.  Russ tried SO hard to make it look normal and requested I grab my camera to save the moment forever...I have to admit he made that shirt look like it fit! I've never seen my dear husband try so hard to make clothing look good.

PRE school.

Im going to go ahead and call this pre pre school....is that alright with you? Because its not really a PRESCHOOL, its more of a daycare offering a part day preschool program...

Now that you're up to date on the prepre, Here is my LITTLE GIRL and her first prepre adventure.

There are a lot of kids who don't do preschool, and if they do they go at four. I decided to put Hailey in the program because one she is crazy smart and beyond her years, and two we don't get to do much social interacting with other kids her age.

If she comes out of this little adventure with a friend, I will call that money well spent! Although lets be honest, I am her best friend forever...haha.

So here we are pre pre morning. We gave her a bath so her curls would shine!

Then we took her outside for our tradition of first day of school pictures and we tried to mimic Hunters first day which you can see HERE.

Then off we went to drop our big little off at preschool...she seemed a bit shy outside the door...I only wish I had a peek inside her thoughts at this moment.

We took her in the class signed her in and OFF she went! No hugs, nothing. I tracked her down and said "Okay Hailey I am leaving..." she instantly said 'NOOO I DONT WANT TO GO!" No Hailey I am leaving you are staying! She said "Oh good bye mom!"

Sigh...Just once cant I get a kid who pretends to need me for everything?

After the long 3 hours of her being gone we went to pick her up. The verdict? She loved everything about pre-preschool.

Shes going to do great.

Where is Hunter?

Oh hunter...my spit-fire child. He is always on the move and moving at mach speed.

This was on 4th of July.

Everytime I come to blog I realize how on the move he is 90% of my pictures of him are a blur and the other ones are when I got him to stop and smell the roses for a moment. I feel bad I dont have more pictures of him! Must tie him down later....

He spends his days outside on his bike, rollerblades, skateboards...or just running. There is never a day where he doesn't come in bright red from playing in the hot Arizona sun, with drops of sweat over his brow.

He has hit the age of mystery, whenever I say "How was school?" I get good. Whatd you do "normal stuff" are you liking it do you have friends? "yep!"

He is SUPER excited that one day Owen will learn to sit, roll, crawl, then finally walk. He wants time to hurry up for this day....please time DONT DO IT.

Sigh. I found a video the other day of him at age 3 when he used to tell me everything and then take off running. They really do grow up TOO fast!

Party of Five

Wow, only 2 posts in the whole month of July? I am a blog slacker....or busy with my family of FIVE!

Mr. Owen is now 3 weeks old! 

He is having about three, one hour wake periods a day and has started "cooing" He is a great baby. He sleeps 4 hour stretches at night, IN HIS CRIB! amazing! He has already logged more crib hours than Hailey EVER has

Hunter is starting 2nd grade NEXT WEEK.

 Wasn't it just yesterday i took him to preschool?

He is excited, but also very nervous. Poor kid had quite a boring summer being cooped up with a big ole pregnant lady, but luckily his cards changed!

 A couple weeks ago a family moved in across the street with 3 boys around his age! He is stoked about that and having lots of fun with them.

Hailey will be starting preschool on August 17th, she will go twice a week for 4 hours a day. 

She is VERY excited and hasn't stopped talking about it. For now she is up to her old tricks, her current favorite show to watch is Rugrats! remember them? She calls it Wondergrats. We have been doing a lot of walking to the park and she spends lots of time giving Owen Kisses.
