We went to see the BIG GUY!

The kids were so excited.

Owen was asleep in his ergo so he stayed with me.

Hunter asked for a bionicle, Harry Potter lego wii game and a Transformer.

Hailey wants the dog on the leash, the hair cut toy, and a dora house.

They have been pretty darn good this year so I think their chances are high!

I get this a lot... "Your pictures are so nice! You must have a really nice camera!"or "Your camera takes really nice pictures!" Ouch people....ouch!

Well folks.....Im going to show you some of my "really nice camera photos"

The following crack me up because my brother said WOW Nice camera! took all the following and handed it back and told me it was broken.

and this one is another I ruined because I wasnt watching my settings.

SO the lesson here today kids is that JUST because someone may have an expensive camera, does NOT make them a photographer.

There is so much that goes into capturing an image. Far beyond just clicking the button! Well with a DSLR anyway...if you have a point and shoot, thats all you have to do point and shoot!

The camera is merely a paintbrush in a painters hand. Just because you have the right tools, doesnt mean youre going to create a van gogh with it!

Sheemee

Here is an interview with Hailey about Sheemee. Sheemee is Haileys imaginary friend.... I asked the questions and Hailey answered, so I typed word for word what she said.

1. Where does Sheemee live?

Uhhh, In colorado at our new house, the other house. Its far away, he comes on the airplane and he brought his car....The airplane drived it.


2. What is Sheemees mom like?


Uhhh....His mommy likes pictures. Uhhh.....she looks for her greys anatomy book and reads it to Sheemee at bedtime. It has pages. Greys Anatomy on the bad Greys Anatomy the bad man shoots them and the greys Anatomy good guys fixes the shots with the tape.


Sheeemees mom also likes lights.


3. What does sheemees car look like?


Its orange and it can talk.


4. Does sheemee come with us in our car or his?


He drives his car, when he comes here he rides the airplane and when he goes home with his mom he goes in the car.


5. What does sheemee look like?


He has a black nose like Jack the reindeer.... he has black hair and its curly. Hes a little tall like me (points to her hip)


6. How old is sheemee?


Sheemee is 3 1/2.


7.Whens his birthday?


His birthdays on Saturday! When he grows up he wants to be a teenager.


8. Does sheemee have pets?


yes his dogs name is Khaki and his cats name is Maddie.


9. Does Sheemee have brothers or sisters?
He only has two brothers, no sister


10. Whats your favorite thing to do with Sheemee?

Ah, the adventures of Hailey and Sheemee.

Things to remember

Today is deployment day 2....yes my best friend jumped on a plane and flew 12 hours away from us. Oh How I miss him! Being an Army Wife sure can be as hard as they say.

Luckily for my husband, his wife loves to take pictures and LOVES having ideas for blogs.

So here is Things to remember #1

Today at lunch I told Hailey I was making her ramen, she said to me "You cant make ramen, Only Daddy makes Ramen!"

However, 5 minutes into her bowl she proclaimed "I guess you know how to make ramen too"

Today, Hunter made a puzzle of the states and had me quiz him on where all the states are.

He had the hardest time with Arkansas.

He also carried Owen down the stairs and totally freaked me out.

Owen was cute and lovable all day!

He also played along while I tried to teach him to take naps in his crib, instead of the swing.

His first was 30 minutes, second was 45 minutes, and third was an hour!

All those photos were taking with my cell phone.

Four Months Old

Owen, you turned FOUR months old yesterday.

You are on a fast track for ONE!

Boy did we have a busy month. We started this month living in one state, and ended in a new one.

You did your first move and road trip all in one month.

You were pretty good on the drive, especially considering you absolutely HATE being in the car.

You usually cry the whole time you're back there...Hailey was the same way.

I don't know how much you weigh yet.

You are moving into size 6-9 months already though.

You've been bumped up a notch in your cloth diapers too, and your car seat needed some adjusting!

You met one of your first big milestones this month, you rolled over!

Then you took it a step further and rolled back the other way! all in one day.

SO proud of yourself!

You are so strong, You love to stand up on your legs.

I also bet if I let go when you were sitting that you could sit all by yourself.

Were not ready to let go yet.

You love to stare at Hunter and He loves to makes you smile.

Hailey loves to "babysit" you. She lets you try out all the baby rattles.

Daddy can get the laughs out of you though....he's good at it.

Your favorite song is John Williams is the man...You're going to be a huge Star Wars fan aren't you? We all love to sing that song to you.

You also have mastered grabbing on to toys! You love to taste them all, I think your favorite is Sophia

the Giraffe.

You also love your pal Scout, he really cheers you up on those mean car rides.

Your smile melts our world and we love you so much Baby Owen!

Please do me and your Dad a favor and stop growing up so fast?
