Happy Birthday lil man.

I can't believe 6 years ago today was the last night I would be something other than a mom. It really does seem like only yesterday.
On March 31, 2003 I went in to Swedish Medical center for a induction. My labor was quick and simple, (except for the after math) but Hunter was born at 5:57pm weighing 8lbs 3.5 oz and was 20 inches long. Just perfect!

Now he is a smart, athletic, very tall SIX year old. He says the darndest things and is all around a very good kid. He is a wonderful big brother to his baby sister. Right now he is in the VERY BOY stage, its all about Star Wars, Transformers, and Power Rangers. His teacher says he is very bright and is quite ahead for a kid his age. Well duh, that's because he is a genius! He was also the most beautiful baby boy I have ever seen and is now a very handsome 6 year old boy. I'm going to enjoy chasing the girls off with a broom :)

Happy Birthday Hunter!!!!!

When I get them I will add his 6th birthday pictures, the poor kid came down with Strep this weekend and I haven't taken any pictures of him yet.

Bad Ass Barista Blogging

Yesterday I had an interview with Starbucks, within 2 minutes I had the job because of my previous Barista mad skills. On the way home from my interview, I pulled out my iPod turned it on and a few minutes later was being pulled over by the military Police. He said I was getting a ticket for texting and driving, I showed him it was my iPod and STILL gave me the ticket for being a distracted driver. You think an iPod is distracting, try having 2 little children in the back! Are the going to give me a ticket for that too? LAME.

I have been extremely tired the last few days and I can't shake it. All I want to do is take naps. I hope this goes away soon... My house could use a good deep cleaning.

Here are some pictures from today, The animals are the only ones who felt inclined to pose until I pulled out the black blanket and made Hailey laugh.

Honest to blog.

I am watching Juno. Great movie.

Last night I was enlisted to take pictures of Salsa dancing, that was difficult! The room was tiny and crowded and people kept sticking ligaments in front of my lens. I think I got some okay shots. Good practice anyway.

Today was spent, cleaning, watching movies, and taking care of a sick baby :(

I feel on the verge of sickness as well, my stomach doesn't feel right and neither does my throat. It is most likely allergies which like to greet me every year during the first week of March.

This blog was nothing more than random. I told my friend Kelly I was trying to blog every day....so this ones for you Kelly!

Hows the future?

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful parents.

Today is my Mom and Dad's 29th Wedding Anniversary, way to go guys! You are an inspiration to me and all other married couples out there.

You set the example for me at a young age that marriage is forever, I have seen the good moments and the bad moments but you guys pull through them all with grace and love. Thank you for being my inspiration and I'm excited to see you hit many more!!!!

RIP Patrick Roy

TOday someone who shall rename nameless accidentally broke my all time favorite cup. I remember the day Jason and I went out on a mission to find the 3 collector Avalanche cups from the year they won the Stanley cup. This one had my 3 favorites on it, Patrick Roy, Milan Hejduk, and Alex Tanguay. Today it broke :( I almost cried I was so sad for my cup (pathetic) That cup has live in every house with me and traveled to all my different states.

RIP Patrick Roy cup.

Pee pee in the potty!

For the last week I have been letting Hailey run around in the nude to kick start potty training. I did this with Hunter too and it helped not build up so much dirty laundry.
Shes had quite a few accidents but I knew she was ready because she keeps ripping off her shorts and diaper when I do put them on.

Well today I got to sing the pee pee in the potty song!!! I was finishing up her quilt and I heard the potty start singing and Hailey was sitting there looking mighty proud of herself. I picked her up and sure enough SHE DID IT!!!!! I started dancing and singing the potty song and then I gave her a piece of chocolate. She wanted me to sing the song over and over again.

YAY Hailey!!!!!

From the mouths of kids.

One of my favorite things about being a parent is the hilarious things they say to me throughout the day.

I just had a conversation with Hunter about out new President Barack Obama...this is how it went.

I said "Hunter what does the President do?"
Hunter said "I don't know lots of stuff"
like what?
"He likes to play in his backyard with his padoodle" (Im guessing he knows about the Labradoodle)
is that all he does?
"No he works really hard for his boss"
Who is his boss?
"Mrs.Obama"

Another funny President one he said....
His teacher asked him who drew pictures in books and he said "the illustrator" then she said who writes all the books? and he said "the president!"

On another note....we are officially "potty training" She is so beyond ready and I know that if she just peed ONE time in the potty it would click. I need to flood her with fluids and make her sit until it all comes out.

They say girls are easier? so heres hoping!

My 25 things. Yes I got sucked in too!

1. I can speak backwards. I can think backwards and write backwards. You can ask me to say and or spell any word backwards and I can do it just as fast as I can forwards.

2. Moving to Arizona was a big weight lifted off my shoulders, I feel like I am home again but I am super excited about moving back to Denver in the next couple of years.

3. I know this girl, I have known her for 10 long years....we have had our "hiatus" but since it ended I have never felt closer to a person and I hope she knows how much I love her.

4. if this girl convinces her husband to move here, I swear my life would be complete!!!

5. When I found out I was pregnant I was only 18 years old, I wasn't afraid at al because I knew this lil boy would save my life, and he did.

6. I never imagined myself being a 25 year old Army wife with 2 children, but I also couldnt imagine my life as anything different. Well I could imagine the not Army part :)

7. 92% of the time I am trying to be funny and there are a lot of people that don't understand that.

8. My husband has a tendency to drive me INSANE, but we deal.

9. I wish I lived on a farm with 6 horses, 4 Labrador retrievers and a couple of cats. I would LOVE to live the rancher life and whenever I watch ranch movies I am totally jealous.

10. I went a week without Internet and almost lost my mind, I forgot how to function without it.

11. I am truly amazed at technology and children these days, at the age of 5 my son knows more about the internet than I did at the age of 15. He also has never known a telephone without a camera attached to it.

12. I am completely proud of myself that I am in college, I am completely saddened that RARELY the people I love tell me they are proud of me for doing it.

13. In 2011 I will have an associates degree and will be that much closer to being an elementary teacher. I have my son to thank for pointing me in the right direction.

14. The friends I love the most, I met on the internet.

15. I constantly think about having a third child, this thought always freaks me out.

16. I love that my friends come to me for advice, However I am always worried that I give horrible advice and should maybe keep my mouth shut.

17. I absolutely HATE the news on TV, Especially when they twist stories around and gullible people fall for everything they hear. I do however love to read the paper.

18. Whenever I think about how much sports athletes make versus how much the military who puts their life on the line for this country make a year it makes me sick to my stomach and I get insanely pissed off!

19. My grandma was dying and sick for over a year, she died moments after she learned the name of my son and saw his picture when he was 8 days old. This means the world to me its like she waited to know everything was okay with us. I wish she knew how much i missed her and how much I wish I could tell her what I've been up to the last 6 years.

20. I would do almost anything right now to strap on a snowboard and zoom down a mountain with caylen. Out of all the things I've missed in the last 3 years this is definitely at the top of my list.

21. Most of my family lives in Argentina.

22. I am not sure where we will live in 5 years.

23. I loved being 17 years old. I had so much fun hanging out with Kristina and all our friends, I would like to go back and do it again.

24. I love when I find a book that i can't put down. It is so relaxing to throw myself into another persons world for 600 pages. Whenever the book is finished I always feel a sense of triumph and disappointment that it ended so soon.

25. One of the things I love to do the most is take pictures. I love all aspects of Photography.. I want to someday travel around the world and make myself a bad ass calendar. I still am amazed that at the click of a button and some development I can relive a moment that happened years ago.
