Oh happy day.

I have a TEN year old, a decade, its crazy. I am mad that all those "it'll go so fast" comments were right. 

We went to house of bounce, then chuck e cheese for dinner. He had a blast!

It really goes so stinking fast. Soon to come, a what its like to be Ten blog, as soon as I get his session done. Hes a great kid, I like him a lot.

Today was his first holiday birthday so we made the most of it.

I've been having a lot of fin with my camera, doing a 365 project. Here are 10 of my recent favorites!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

My favorite thing about where we live? Is the GREATEST zoo on the side of the mountain. I have been to the zoo in Argentina, Indianapolis, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego, Denver, St. Louis, and a few more but there is something about seeing an elephant on the side of Cheyenne mountain.

Or an African Lion lounging in the snow.

We have a zoo pass and we go sometimes just to hang out for an hour! Its the best, especially on a beautiful day like today.

The Elephant exhibit has been under construction for what feels like forever, but its almost done! Friday friday!!!!!

 Owen loves the playground.

  The bears today were extra fun, chasing each other and diving in the water.

 My beautiful friend came out to join us in zoo shenanigans today! Another bonus to living here :)

 And the giraffe exhibit is AMAZING. Up close and personal with the whole herd, they love lettuce!

Owen didn't feel like feeding them for some reason, so he was shoving lettuce under the rail today.

  Don't tell Hailey we went to the zoo while she was at school today.

Such a fun and beautiful day! I am looking forward to spring!

Owen 2.5

Owen said his longest sentence yesterday it was "Im going to get the cat, Ill be right back!" it was amazing.

Everyday those words are coming out of his mouth smoother and more efficiently. I am really going to miss his cave man grunting. 

He loves every member of his family. At 2:43 everyday I say "lets go get Hunter and Hailey!" he BOLTS to the door yelling "huntah!, Hay-wee!!!!!" When russ leaves the house he stands at the door crying "dad! Dad!!!!" and Ive been told he does the same when I leave. He is a big fan of everyone in the house, including Stella and Loki the Cat.

                                and nothing can stop an Owen tantrum, faster than a cookie.

So as you can see, I am cheating. There are 12 pictures, 3 I took yesterday and the rest today. Time got ahead of me yesterday and I didn't even realize it was the 10th already until late in the day! However I made it a goal to stop missing these so I am chiming in with my set anyway. Enjoy.
