Pregnancy Brain

30 weeks, eek!!!

Here is a glimpse into the dangers of Pregnancy Brain...

This is all from the last 3 weeks....

I swiped my Drivers License to pay for some stuff at Target and panicked when it said my card was not valid.

I took my husbands car to the grocery store, when I got done I walked around the parking lot 3 times looking for MY van.

I drove to Hunters school with my purse on the roof, luckily its not a far drive and it wasn't a windy day!

When I was putting away ingredients I used I placed the tub of butter in the microwave instead of the refrigerator.

I have put my car keys and or cell phone in the following places...Fridge, bathroom medicine cabinet, pantry, toy box, and hall closet. Its a miracle I find anything.

My sentences are totally discombobulated...Hailey was riding her bike naked and i said "Hailey doesnt ir hurt your privates to ride your bike barefoot?"

or

My closet is in my shoes

my couch is on the cat.....

you get the idea.

Its a dangerous world being pregnant!

Sadly I had many more, and when I started writing them down I forgot.

Military Spouse Appreciation Day

President Barack Obama signed a proclamation yesterday making May 7, 2010 Military Spouse appreciation day.

I found this on a news Article....

Here’s to you, the one who waits, no matter the distance, no matter the time. Here’s to you, the one who fights your own battle at home, between the tears and sleepless nights. Here’s to you, the one who will never give up, even when everything around you seems to be falling down.
And here’s to you, because while people may think they know how tough it is to be a hero, no one but us will ever know how tough it is to love one…

My Soldier friend said "nothing i went through in the military ever compared with the things that military spouses have to go through." We are Super Heroes!

I was on the phone yesterday with USAA and she told me I was an unsung hero, and thanked me for being married to a soldier. Well, you're welcome!

As a Military Spouse, I have survived my share of days deployed in Iraq, soon to be a one year tour in Korea, and millions of TDY's which is Military for "Business trip," Which actually My Soldier is currently on. He "had" to go to Monterey, CA for about 48 hours, poor guy.

Being in the military can be very tough and crazy at times, It takes a certain type of person to be able to handle the stress and the craziness they throw at you. The thing that helps us make it through is our fellow Military buddies! Without you guys this would be insanely difficult and not worth the journey. Since joining the Military world, I now have friends in just about every state and tons of different countries. NO Matter where we go, we will surely know someone.

Anyway...Its nice to be appreciated, thanks Mr. President!

Just for kicks on this glorious official holiday....here is a little military trip down memory lane.

Saying Goodbye to Russ before he got on a plane to Iraq.

Some last kisses in the Car

The guys doing a gig in Iraq
Rock Band in Iraq

Waiting in the gym for the guys to come home from Iraq
I dont know that the fog was necessary...made it super hard to breathe and impossible to detect your husband wearing the same thing as everyone in a cloud of smoke.
Found him!

Getting "church" married after he came home

Did you know Russ and I were married while in different countries? We did a proxy....thats a whole other story!

This is a few months ago, Re-enlisting for another 3 years of fun
Gotta get the wife too!
I found out I was pregnant 3 days after this....

I have a lot more buried in folders...however my brain is a bit "prego" today and I'm having a hard time thinking.

Thanks to all my Military Spouse buddies out there for supporting me and letting me support you right back!

I know we get this day recognized now, but we deserve some appreciation every single day!

There was a little girl

There was a little girl who
who had a little curl
right in the middle of her forehead
and when she was good
she was very very good
but when she was bad she was horrid.

When Hailey was 3 months old, she had very little hair. She did however have a curl, right in the middle of her forehead!

Heres the curl at 4 months

and at 6 months

and at Christmas time, 11 months.

In January, at her first birthday her hair started to get a little longer.

Here she is at 14 months, Not a great picture of the curl but this picture totally cracks me up.

In June at 17months, some more hair started to join in on the curly fun.

and in August at 19 months....

This is in November of 2008, she is 22 months old.
This is sadly the last picture I have before the crash of 2009. My computer hard drive crashed and I lost my pictures from December, January, February and March :(

BACKUP!

Then we skip along to April of 2009

July 2009

and still July 2009
Shes got the mega curl look going on in this one.

November 2009

And Here we are Curly sue, current day...

I love her hair, what mom wouldnt want a girl with curly hair?

However, dont let these pictures fool you....This girl can pull out the most wicked bed head youve ever seen in your life.

You know this guy?
Sideshow bob, sometimes she wakes up and her hair looks like that.

or sometimes she resembles him

Good morning Hailey head.

hahaha

It wouldnt be such a problem...if she wasn't ANTI brush, you come near her with a brush and its a chase, then a scream fest.

We have TONS of hair products in the bathtub to calm her madness. This girl has more products than I have ever had.

We have probably tried every leave in conditioner and detangler out there and let me tell you, most of them DO NOT work.

If you look HERE, you will see that one time she tried to outsmart me...hilarious

My Mother in law recently saved the day with AQUAGE, now that stuff kicks tangles in the butt! I love that stuff.

Having a daughter with curly hair grabs tons of attention, and tons of very interesting remarks from strangers. I cant tell you how many times I've been asked "where did she get her curls from!"

I honestly dont know where she got them...but I hear Target was having a sale on curls. JUST kidding!
My older brother had super curl head too....so somewhere along the line is a curly gene.

We also have been asked....

"Is her hair Naturally curly?"

Now this was asked by someone who sees us ALL THE TIME.
I really wanted to say "Nope we sit with hot curlers in her hair every single morning!" But I refrained.

One time someone asked "Are you sure shes your daughter? because your hair is very straight"
Yes, I am sure shes my spawn...thanks for the rude question though!

We also get a ton of older ladies who will just walk up and tap her hair, and a ton of OH SHES SO CUTE! I LOVE HER CURLS!

I hope you like the attention Hailey, because I am pretty sure your curls are here to stay.

I was sitting on the couch reading someone elses blog and being jealous of their ccreativity. I wanted to show Hailey a picture of the little girl in the story....

"Hailey! come here"

"NO!"

"but Hailey I need to show you something!"

"Ughhh FINE" here come the stomp stomp stomp of her barefoot feet on the tile and in walks Hailey, with a dead serious why are you bothering me look on her face and says

"Mommy, I was taking a SHOWAH!"

Complete in my dish towel ensemble.

Transformers

Okay, so this post is NOT about the Autobots and decepticons...it is about my awesome son Hunter.
In January, he went through a tough time....he was suddenly afraid of sleeping in his room and he was getting in tons of trouble at school. It was a rough time for us, getting referrals from the school because your darling son was being a bully is NOT something you want to happen.
He was getting "red" everyday in class which meant he was basically being a hooligan and I really just didnt know what to do with him.
Fast forward to March...nothing really changed and then one week he got ALL green! the whole 5 days! We celebrated and woo-hooed the heck out of him! Then magically the next week GREEN every single day! what is going on???I dont know but I like it!
Since the day after spring break he has not gotten a yellow or a red! Wooot Hunter!

Today im standing outside the school with my friends for pickup and up comes HUnter holding his teachers hand...his teacher NEVER walks him up to me unless she has something to say. We all said a little uh oh and I walked up expecting some horrible news.

NOPE! not today!

Hunter in the midst of his amazing transformation has landed STUDENT OF THE WEEK!!!!!

Which means he has exhibited good behaviors, responsibility, excelled in class work and been a great example of a GOOD student!

Im buying him a pony I am so thrilled and proud of him!

Little guy has come a long way, and been on more adventures than most adults. He has has 10 different addresses in 4 states and has already been to 4 different schools ALL before 2nd grade.
(Just for fun im adding an old skool picture of my baby boy)

We are so stinking proud of him and hope this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship with him and education.
