A Day With the Rockies.

In 1993 my Dad took my brother Nick and I to the first ever Colorado Rockies game. It was at the old Mile High Stadium then and it was a blast. In good form we had about as nosebleed seats as you can get. That didn't stop us from bringing our gloves and claiming we could catch a home run (it didn't happen). I remember that day so well, we were so excited to be getting a Major League baseball team!

Hunter went to his first Colorado Rockies game when he was 1, Hailey went at the age of two and Owen beat them both at just under 10 months.

We rode the Light rail down to the ball park with my dad. Owen seemed to really enjoy being in a moving vehicle and not in a car seat.

We sat in my favorite seats, ROCKPile! No better atmosphere at the park than Rockpile seats. Best of all they are only 4$ a ticket!

Owen slept for a few innings then woke up and discovered bags of peanuts!

Then we scored a home run and the crowd went wild and Owen went...
What the heck are they doing!

These people are crazy!

Hmm well back to playing with this bag of peanuts!

This was the sun on Sunday May 1, 2011. I looked at it and said "Woah, I bet something crazy is happening somewhere in the world today" and it was!

A shot of Owen watching the game at beautiful Coors Field.

Rocking the free sunglasses we had thrown at us.

Mom get these off of me, please!

During the 7th inning stretch they brought a trumpet player from the Air Force Band! We love our military bands <3

It was a great day, even though we lost BOO. Looking forward to many more days spent watching the best team in the Major Leagues! Go Rockies!!!
